Conceived by Rev. Fr. Clemente Lopez and officially established in August 1963 by Cardinal Rufino Santos, the Saints Peter and John Parish was built on land and a steel structure donated by the Araneta family, who named the church to honor both the elderly and the youth. The parish evolved through the leadership of several dedicated priests, beginning with Fr. Severino Pelayo, who introduced foundational lay organizations, and Fr. Antonio Benedicto, who completed the church construction and established the first Lay Ministers. Subsequent renovations, including the addition of an Adoration Chapel and a Reconciliation room, were spearheaded by Fr. Aloysius Aliño, while the current leadership under Fr. Leandro Magnait focuses on bridging the gap between God and the community through vigorous pastoral engagement. Today, the parish remains a symbol of spiritual unity, shepherding a diverse flock under the patronage of two of Christ’s most prominent apostles.
