Born from the gratitude of the Mandapat family for a relative’s safe return from World War II, Sagrada Familia Parish began as a modest wooden chapel that was officially initiated as a sub-parish in 1972. It was canonically erected as a parish in 1983 under its first priest, Rev. Fr. Honorato Nadua Jr., and has since flourished through a succession of leaders who prioritized grassroots spiritual growth. Notable developments include the strengthening of the Children’s Ministry and the rejuvenation of Basic Ecclesial Communities, which led to the creation of seventeen small communities known as Kawan and the Munting Kapitbahayang Kristiyano (MKK). Today, the parish is a highly active participant in vicarial and diocesan affairs, remaining dedicated to pastoral excellence and the formation of a unified brotherhood in Christ.
